ODPC Registered Data Controller & Processor
Muiaa Limited is registered with the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (ODPC), Kenya, as both a Data Controller and a Data Processor under the Data Protection Act, 2019. This registration is a legal requirement for organizations that collect and process personal data in Kenya, and confirms we are recognized by the regulator for the lawful, fair, and transparent handling of your Chama's data.
ISO/IEC 27001 — Alignment in Progress
ChamaConnect is not yet certified against ISO/IEC 27001, the international standard for information security management systems. We are working toward aligning our internal security practices with the standard as our platform and team mature. We reference the official ISO/IEC 27001 publication as the standard we are working toward, not as a claim of certification.

All traffic to and from ChamaConnect is sent over encrypted (HTTPS) connections.
Role-Based Access Control
Sensitive group actions are gated by office-bearer roles (chairperson, treasurer, secretary), so only authorized officers can approve loans, manage members, or record welfare beneficiaries.
Audit Trail
Key financial and administrative actions are logged, giving groups a traceable record of who did what and when.
